VHDL Course

IEEE Cairo University Student Branch held a workshop titled "Digital Design and Testing with VHDL".
Most of the electronic systems we use in our daily life are digital systems. Hardware description languages are made to make the design of complex digital systems possible and effective. One of the most used HDLs is VHDL language, That’s why IEEE Cairo University Student Branch introduced this course, which is 8-days long, and its contents were as follows:
•    Introduction to HDL languages, the Gajski Y-chart.
•    FPGA architecture, FPGA design flow with explaining all CAD tools used for synthesis and simulation.
•    Combinational circuits.
•    Sequential circuits.
•    FSMs
•    Libraries and packages.
•    Making Testbenches using Modelsim.(1)
•    Making Testbenches using Modelsim.(2)
