IEEE CUSB compete in IEEE XTREME |

For 24 hours, 6 teams from Cairo University representing IEEE CUSB competed in IEEE XTREME.
A competitive, hot and enthusiasm surrounding, that was the thing in the lab that witnessed this great event, every team cooperating, trying to work out the different algorithms looking for an advanced position among different teams all over the world. The competition wasn’t easy as well, but this didn’t step back the participants who were insisting to solve the algorithms and win this competition.However, this struggle ended up with the one team left at the end of the 24 hours, who placed the 90th over all the teams participated all over the world. “It doesn’t matter who win, but it was really great experience, and we consider ourselves winners with the joy and experience we gained today” said by the 90th place team leader. |

IEEE CUSB opened its booth during two weeks in Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. The main target of the booth was to spread the acknowledgment of IEEE between the faculty students and increase their awareness about its benefits and the great services it provide. Actually it was a fantastic experience as we found out that our fame reached not only Cairo university faculties, but also it reached other faculties like Shubra and Helwan. The turnout was really high during the two weeks. |

IEEE CUSB won the first place in ESD’09 placed in Tanta branch in July 09, the president of the conference was Dr. Ahmed Darwish, Minister of State for Administrative Development who handled the first prize to IEEE CUSB vice chairman Hossam Fahmy. |
